Amanda was born June 29, 1987 right here in Valdosta, Ga (back when they delivered babies at Moody Air Force Base) but she wouldn’t stay here long growing up as a military child. She moved to England, Texas, and then back to Valdosta at the age of 14. Amanda grew up being shown an active lifestyle by her Dad. She grew up playing softball mostly but would get involved in any sport that came along (swimming, track, volleyball, triathlons). Amanda attended Valdosta State University where she graduated with a bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology. She interned with VSU’s strength and conditioning program as well as at Moody Air Force Base running a program to help airmen retest for their PT test after failing the first time. Amanda was the assistant coach at Kinetix sports performance facility for student athletes for a year. Amanda also lived in Honduras for 6 months after graduating college, working at a girls orphanage home. Amanda has been married to her husband Brent for 5 years and they have 2 kiddos, EmmaLynn (3 years old) and Buck (1 year old). Amanda walked into her first Crossfit almost a year ago now and fell in love with the community and the atmosphere of people pushing each other to be their best! She has come a long way from the girl who was scared to jump up on a box or couldn’t do a pull up! She loves coaching the YoBilityFit class and is excited to coach some CrossFit classes once she earns her CrossFit Level 1 in September.
